It will take more than 3,352.8 meters (11,000 feet) of concrete to close off Rexall Speedway.  The total weight of such an order tops 2,267,961.85 kilograms (5 million pounds).  That's some delivery truck!

Rubber stopper.

22,230 tire 'cushions' will be used as a protective barrier for drivers exiting the course in more of a hurry than planned.  These tires absorb the impact of a race car traveling at high speeds and allow the car stop in as gentle a way as possible, considering IndyCar Series race faster and closer than any other form of motorsport.

This specially-built FIA road course is one of the most fan-friendly circuits in the IndyCar Series. 80% of the track can be easily seen from anywhere in the stands. You'll be able to track practice and qualifying and watch multiple duels as race day unfolds. Speeds on the straightaway will exceed 320 km/h and several turns will offer prime overtaking opportunities.
