EDMONTON, AB – Fans holding a ticket for the opening day of the Edmonton Indy on Friday, July 24th will be treated to a free concert from Canadian rockers Sam Roberts Band.
 

 

The Montreal native’s 2002 independent EP, ‘The Inhuman Condition’ became one of the bestselling independent releases in Canadian music history, and spawned a number of radio friendly hits, such as ‘Brother Down’, ‘Don’t Walk Away Eileen’ and ‘Where Have All The Good People Gone?’. Since then, Sam Roberts Band has released two additional albums, 2006’s ‘Chemical City’ and 2008’s ‘Love At The End Of The World’, and has built a well-earned reputation as one of Canada’s most dynamic live acts. Their most recent album, ‘Love At The End Of The World’, debuted at #1 on the Canadian Album Charts.
 

Since making their debut on the Canadian music scene seven years ago, Sam Roberts Band has won 6 Juno Awards, including Artist of the Year (2004 & 2009), Album of the Year (2004), Rock Album of the Year (2004 & 2009), and Video of the Year (2007).
